Ever sat at work and thought “I wish it was the weekend already”, watching the clock ticking as though in slow motion? Wishing that you could be doing something that your heart is yearning to do?

Four lads from Leicester did just this in late 2012, and decided to form a band to reignite their passion and love of music. Together they formed ‘Santa Fe’.

Santa Fe are:

Darius Cobb – Bass Guitar, Lead vocals
Hayward Cobb – Drums, Piano, Backing vocals
Steve Jordan – Guitar, Backing vocals
Mark Woodyatt - Guitar

Santa Fe’s melodic approach to rock music is structured and considered, blending all out rock with intricate independent instrumental sections and big riffs. Lyrics take inspiration from life’s hardships, a wonder for seeing the world from alternative views, personal battles, the effects of large events and the trials of life. The band have been inspired by the likes of Thrice, Biffy Clyro, Reuben, Jimmy Eat World and Deaf Havana …to name but a few.

Darius and Woody enjoyed success with previous band “My Awesome Compilation”, touring globally with bands such as Fallout Boy, Funeral For A Friend, Fightstar, Brand New and Alkaline Trio, and even reaching number 1 in the official Japanese rock album chart. Steve and Mark rocked out with previous bands “Toy Heroes” and “After” respectively.

The Ep “Tremors” was recorded with Dan Lancaster - producer (Don Broco, Mallory Knox, Lower than Atlantis, Proceed) at Studio Glasseye. It will launch on the 15th July through itunes and all good online retailers.

As it stands, Santa Fe are a new, self-sustaining band that are willing to listen to anyone that may wish to help with the financial backing and promotion that is needed to help achieve their ultimate goal of exposure.
